This Privacy Policy describes how CheatCoders.net (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the site, subscribe, comment, or otherwise interact with our content. CheatCoders is an educational programming blog operated by Logeshwaran.

What we collect

Information you provide

  • Newsletter email — if you subscribe, we store the address you submit (and any related subscription status) so we can send posts or updates you opted into.
  • Contact messages — if you email us (for example at contact@cheatcoders.net), we receive whatever you include in that message.
  • Comments — if comments are enabled, we may collect the name, email, website URL, and comment text you submit, plus technical metadata needed to moderate spam.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics — we use Google analytics via Google Site Kit (and related Google tags) to understand page views, approximate location/device, referrers, and how visitors move through the site.
  • Jetpack (Automattic) — Jetpack may collect site stats, security/performance signals, and related usage data according to Automattic’s policies.
  • Advertising / cookies — if Google AdSense or similar ads are active, Google and partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads (including interest-based ads where allowed).
  • Hosting logs — our host (Bluehost) may log IP addresses, user agents, request URLs, and timestamps for security, uptime, and abuse prevention.

How we use information

  • Operate, secure, and improve CheatCoders;
  • Send newsletter content you requested;
  • Respond to messages and moderate community interactions;
  • Understand which topics help developers (aggregated analytics);
  • Show or measure advertising where enabled;
  • Comply with legal obligations when required.

Legal bases (informal)

Depending on where you live, we rely on one or more of: consent (for example, newsletter signup or non-essential cookies where a banner is shown), legitimate interests (running a secure blog, basic analytics, fraud prevention), and contractual necessity when we provide a feature you asked for. Where consent is required for ads or analytics cookies, we will request it through an appropriate mechanism.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may include essential/session cookies (site functionality), analytics cookies (Google / Site Kit), Jetpack-related cookies, and advertising cookies (AdSense or partners). Retention

  • Newsletter data — kept until you unsubscribe or we delete inactive lists;
  • Contact emails — kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain ordinary business records;
  • Comments — retained while published or as needed for moderation history;
  • Analytics & logs — retained according to the third-party tool defaults and our host’s log rotation (typically weeks to months for raw logs; aggregated analytics longer).

Third parties

We use service providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies, including:

  • Google — Analytics / Site Kit, Tag Manager or gtag as configured, and AdSense if ads are enabled;
  • Jetpack / Automattic — stats, performance, and related WordPress services;
  • Bluehost — website hosting and infrastructure;
  • Email / newsletter tooling — whichever plugin or provider powers the Subscribe form on the site.

We do not sell your personal information as a product. Advertising partners may use identifiers for ad personalization subject to their policies and your choices (see Google Ads Settings and similar opt-outs).

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, to object to some processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights for data we control, contact contact@cheatcoders.net. For data held only by Google, Automattic, or other providers, you may also need to use their own privacy tools.

Children’s privacy

CheatCoders is aimed at developers and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International visitors

Our hosting and some processors may be located in the United States or other countries. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country with appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site, plugins, or laws change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted on the site or by email if appropriate.
